Bank ka License Cancel Hua!
Dekho, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) ne The Yashwant Co-operative Bank, Phaltan, Maharashtra ka license officially cancel kar diya hai. Yeh decision May 19, 2026 se effective hai. RBI ne reasons bataye hain ki bank ke paas na toh sufficient capital hai aur na hi future mein earning ke chances achhe lag rahe hain, jisse woh apne depositors ka paisa wapas nahi kar pa raha tha.
Iske baad, RBI ne Maharashtra ke Commissioner for Cooperation aur Registrar of Cooperative Societies ko order diya hai ki bank ko liquidate kar de aur ek liquidator appoint karein. Simple language mein, The Yashwant Co-operative Bank ab koi banking activity nahi karega.
Depositors Ko Milenge Paise
Chinta ki baat ye hai ki depositors ko unke paise milenge. Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) hai na! RBI ne kaha hai ki lagbhag 99.02% depositors ko unke insured deposits mil jayenge, woh bhi poore ₹5 lakh tak per account. April 20, 2026 tak, DICGC ne already ₹106.96 crore ke claims clear kar diye hain. Yeh sab depositors ka paisa safe rakhne ke liye kiya gaya hai.
Cooperative Banking Sector Ka Haal
Yeh Yashwant Co-operative Bank wali situation cooperative banking sector ke liye ek warning jaisi hai. Bahut saari choti cooperative banks ko regulatory issues aa rahe hain, especially capital ki kami aur profit na hone ki wajah se. Waise toh DICGC guarantee deta hai, par yeh incident dikhata hai ki kam-capitalized banks mein risk kitna hota hai. RBI ka yeh action financial system ko stable rakhne ke liye zaroori tha.
