India ke Public Banks par Quantum Encryption ka 'Darr'! Kya Bach Payenge Aapke Paisey?
Overview

Bhaiyo aur behno, sun lo! India ki sarkaar ne sabhi public banks (PSBs) ko bola hai ki wo 'Quantum-resistant encryption' par dhyaan dena shuru karein. Idea yeh hai ki future mein jab quantum computers sabka data hack kar payenge, toh apne banks aur paiso ko bachana hai. Lekin yeh kaam bahut mehnga aur mushkil hone wala hai.

So, yeh sab ho kyu raha hai? Pata hai na, quantum computers bahut powerful hote hain. Experts keh rahe hain ki 2029 tak 'Q-Day' aa sakta hai, jab ye computers aaj ki sabse strong encryption ko bhi tod denge. Isiliye, government chahti hai ki banks abhi se hi apni security ko update kar lein, taaki koi hacker future mein hamare transaction data ko purane tarike se chura na le.

Bade banks ne toh pehle hi thodi-thodi shuruaat kar di hai. Jaise, State Bank of India (SBI) toh IIT Jodhpur ke saath milke phishing apps pe kaam kar raha hai. Punjab National Bank (PNB) 'Quantum-Proof Systems' pe focus kar raha hai, aur UCO Bank toh voice cloning fraud se ladne ke liye audio forensics pe kaam kar raha hai. Aur haan, India ka apna 'National Quantum Mission' bhi chal raha hai, jismein ₹6,003.65 crore ka budget hai aur 2,000-km ka quantum network banane ki planning hai 2030-31 tak. Kamaal ki baat yeh hai ki unhone already 1,000-km ka secure network test bhi kar liya hai.

Sirf India hi nahi, duniya bhar ke bade banks jaise JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, HSBC, aur Mastercard bhi quantum-safe encryption try kar rahe hain. US, Europe aur G7 countries bhi regulators ko keh rahe hain ki apne systems ko 2030 tak secure kar lein.

Lekin yeh sab itna aasaan nahi hai. Sabse badi challenge hai 'legacy systems'. Matlab, banks ke purane systems mein encryption ghusa hua hai – apps mein, payment networks mein, ATMs mein, sab jagah. Isko badalna ek multi-year task hai, aur is par ₹2,000 crore tak ka kharcha aa sakta hai banks ko agle 5-7 saal mein. Kuch banks ki profitability (jaise UCO Bank ka ROE lagbhag 8-9% hai) bhi itni high nahi hai ki yeh sab easily manage kar payein.

Aur ek aur khatra hai – 'harvest now, decrypt later'. Iska matlab hai ki hackers aaj kal ka encrypted data collect kar rahe hain, taaki future mein jab quantum computer aa jaye, tab usko decrypt karke use kar sakein. Toh immediate risks bhi hain.

Toh bhai, yeh quantum encryption ki taiyaari ek strategic necessity hai. Duniya bhar ke finance systems badal rahe hain. Exact 'Q-Day' kab aayega, yeh debatable hai, par planning abhi se karni padegi. Banks ko is costly upgrade ko future security ke liye manage karna hoga. Yeh ek phased adoption aur collaboration ka kaam hai taaki quantum era mein bhi hamara financial system safe rahe.
