NRI Deposits FY26 mein thode kam hue

FY25-26 mein India ke non-resident deposit schemes mein paisa kam aaya hai. Total inflow tha $14.41 billion, jabki pichhle saal ye $16.16 billion tha. Lekin haan, March 2026 tak NRI deposits ka outstanding balance $165.65 billion ho gaya, jo ek saal pehle ke $164.68 billion se thoda zyada hai. Haan, February 2026 ke comparison mein total outstanding balance mein thodi girawat dekhi gayi hai.

FCNR(B) Deposits mein badi Giraavat

Overall inflows mein jo kami aayi hai, uska sabse bada reason Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) yaani FCNR(B) deposits mein hui tezi se girawat hai. FY26 mein in accounts mein sirf $946 million aaye, jo FY25 ke $7.08 billion ke comparison mein bahut kam hai. March 2026 ke end tak FCNR(B) balances thoda badhkar $33.76 billion ho gaye (February se $33.72 billion aur pichhle saal se $32.81 billion), iska matlab naye deposits toh kam the par purane balances maintain rahe.

NR(E)RA aur NRO ka performance mila-jula

Non-Resident External Rupee Account (NR(E)RA) deposits mein inflows kaafi badhe hain, jo FY26 mein $7.94 billion ho gaye FY25 ke $4.71 billion se. Lekin fir bhi, NR(E)RA accounts ka outstanding balance March 2026 tak $98.56 billion ho gaya, jo February ke $99.77 billion aur March 2025 ke $100.73 billion se kam hai. Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO) deposits mein bhi inflows badhe hain, FY26 mein $5.53 billion aaye FY25 ke $4.37 billion ke muqable. Outstanding NRO deposits bhi saal-dar-saal $31.14 billion se badhkar $33.33 billion ho gaye, haan, February 2026 ke $34.09 billion se thoda kam hue hain.

NRI Deposits ko kaun se factors affect kar rahe hain?

Global interest rates mein fark aur currency expectations ki wajah se FCNR(B) deposits mein slowdown aaya hai, shayad dollar-denominated assets zyada attractive lag rahe hain. Reserve Bank of India ki monetary policy aur future rate movements NRI deposit behavior ke liye important hai. Dusre emerging markets se remittances ke liye competition, aur currency ya policy expectations ke karan NRI logon ka deleveraging ya asset reallocation bhi factors ho sakte hain. NRO accounts mein continued inflows Indian real estate aur domestic investments mein interest dikha rahe hain.
