Apple Pay ne finally India mein entry maar li hai! Ab Axis Bank ke select credit card users apne iPhone ya Apple Watch se contactless payments kar sakenge. Lekin wait, isme abhi UPI support nahi hai.
Apple Pay ka India entry!
Apple ne apna digital payment service India mein launch kar diya hai, jisme unhone Axis Bank ke sath partnership ki hai. Agar aapke paas Visa ya Mastercard ka Axis Bank credit card hai, toh aap apne iPhone aur Apple Watch ko use karke NFC-enabled terminals par seedha 'tap-to-pay' kar sakte hain. Isme aapko card ka PIN daalne ya OTP ka wait karne ki koi jhanjhat nahi hai, bas Face ID ya Touch ID ka use karke payment authorize ho jayegi.
Security aur Process
Ye service tokenization par kaam karti hai, jiska matlab hai ki aapka actual credit card number merchant ke sath share nahi hota. Ye security ke liye kafi strong feature hai aur checkout process ko super fast bana deta hai.
Kya ye UPI ko takkar dega?
Sach bolun toh, abhi ke liye nahi. India ka digital payment ecosystem UPI par chalta hai, aur Apple Pay ne filhal UPI ya RuPay ko support nahi diya hai. Iska matlab hai ki ye abhi sirf premium credit card holders ke liye ek niche tool ban kar reh gaya hai. Google Pay, PhonePe, ya Paytm jaise apps jo mass market mein chal rahe hain, wo UPI ke karan hi itne popular hain.
Future ka kya scene hai?
Abhi ye sirf high-value ya international-style payments ke liye sahi lag raha hai. Dekhna hoga ki kya Apple aage chalkar aur banks ke sath tie-up karta hai ya UPI ko integrate karta hai. Jab tak UPI nahi aata, mass adoption thoda mushkil lag raha hai kyunki desi janta ko UPI ki aadat ho chuki hai.
