Dekho, hua kya hai ki Thane ki consumer commission ne Ola Electric ko kaha hai ki ya toh woh ek defective scooter ko replace karein, ya phir customer ko uske poore ₹96,997 wapas de dein.
Asal mein, ye scooter JULY 2024 mein ₹96,997 mein kharidi gayi thi, aur delivery ke baad se hi iski band baj gayi thi. Scooter baar baar break down ho rahi thi, battery ka bhi scene kharab tha. Ek baar toh battery 21% se seedha 3% par aa gayi sirf 500 meters chalne mein, jisse vehicle band ho gayi. Commission ne kaha ki ye kaafi dangerous ho sakta tha. Customer ne Ola ko bahut baar email aur message kiya, lekin jab tak social media X par post nahi kiya, tab tak koi response nahi mila.
Aur upar se Ola ki service bhi aisi thi ki service center ko bataya hi nahi ki scooter kahan hai. Jab scooter wapas aayi, toh uspar scratches the aur woh saaf bhi nahi thi. Commission ko laga ki Ola issues ko chhupa raha hai aur unfair trade practice kar raha hai. Ola ne court mein koi jawab bhi nahi diya.
Toh final order mein commission ne kaha hai ki Ola Electric ko ya toh woh defected scooter ko same model ke naye scooter se badalna padega, ya phir customer ko poore ₹96,997 wapas karne honge, upar se us par 6% saalana interest bhi dena hoga. Itna hi nahi, Ola ko ₹20,000 customer ke mental distress ke liye aur ₹15,000 legal kharchon ke liye bhi dene padenge.
Ye decision India mein electric vehicle makers par product quality aur customer support ko lekar badhti hui scrutiny ko aur zyada highlight karta hai.
