West Bengal Rice Mills: Profit Pe Laga Grahan! Free Chawal Policy Se Mills Band?
Overview

West Bengal ke rice mills abhi badi mushkil mein hain. Profit kaafi kam ho gaya hai kyunki govt ki free rice distribution schemes mills ke liye fayda kam kar rahi hain. State mein premium rice jaise Gobindo Bhog ugta hai, lekin ye problems export ko bhi rok rahi hain.

Industry Chaahti Hai Growth, Par Ruke Hue Hain?

Industry ke log chahte hain ki infrastructure sudhre aur approvals jaldi milne lagein, taaki global market mein India ke rice export mein jo lead hai, uska fayda uthaya ja sake. Lekin, andar ki problems ki wajah se mills ke profits aur export capability dono par impact pad raha hai.

Infrastructure Aur Approvals Ki Maang

Industry ke bade naam jaise Suraj Agarwal, CEO of Ricevilla Foods, keh rahe hain ki gaon mein road connectivity, bijli ki reliable supply, aur drainage system ko theek karna bahut zaroori hai. Kai jagahon par naye mills lagane ke liye basic cheezein milne mein mahino lag jaate hain, jisse cost badh jaati hai aur kaam delay hota hai. License aur approval ke liye single-window system bhi chahiye taaki red tape kam ho aur kaam jaldi ho.

Export Badhane Ka Mauka

India already world ka sabse bada rice exporter hai, jo global trade ka lagbhag 40% share rakhta hai. Pichhle saal India ne 215 lakh tonnes rice export kiya. West Bengal bhi saal mein 150 lakh tonnes rice produce karta hai. State ke paas Gobindo Bhog aur Tulai Panji jaise special GI-tagged rice hain, jo India aur abroad mein kaafi popular ho rahe hain. Agar government inko promote kare, toh West Bengal ka export ₹90,000 crore se zyada wale market mein badh sakta hai. Duniya bhar mein health conscious hone ki wajah se specialty rice ki demand bhi badh rahi hai.

Profitability Crisis: Free Rice Schemes Ka Asar

Sabse badi problem ye hai ki West Bengal ke rice mills profit kaise kamayein. Sushil K Choudhury, Chairman of the West Bengal Rice Mills Owners Association, ne bataya ki central aur state government ki free rice distribution schemes sabse badi chinta hain. Lagbhag 3.5 crore beneficiaries ko state pool se ration milta hai, aur 6.5 crore ko central pool se. Choudhury ka kehna hai ki state pool wale beneficiaries mein se kai log gareeb nahi hain aur unhe free ration ki zarurat nahi hai. Agar aise logo ko ration band kar diya jaaye, toh mills ki financial health sudhregi. Kai mills loss hone ki wajah se band ho gayi hain aur banks ke liye bad debts ban gayi hain. Government jo rates par rice kharidta hai, woh bhi aksar kam hote hain. Yeh Odisha jaisi states se alag hai, jahan millers zyada freely trade kar sakte hain.

Aage Kya? Premium Rice Aur Reforms Ki Zaroorat

Challenges hone ke bawajood, West Bengal mein premium, GI-tagged rice varieties sell karne ka accha mauka hai. In special products se zyada daam milta hai aur global demand bhi puri hoti hai. Is mauke ka poora fayda uthane ke liye, industry ek dedicated Rice Industry Development Board banane ki maang kar rahi hai. Aisa board farmers, mill owners, exporters aur government bodies ko milakar kaam karne mein help karega, jisse growth plans aur export efforts ko boost milega. Lekin jab tak mills ki profitability aur welfare policies ke issues solve nahi honge, industry ki growth aur export badhane ki capacity limited rahegi.
