India duniya ka sabse bada Aam producer hai, par export sirf **2-3%** hi karta hai. Logistics ka expense aur climate ki problem ne growth ko rok rakha tha. Ab companyan processed mango products jaise pulp aur concentrate par focus kar rahi hain saal bhar ki income ke liye. Yeh value-added goods ki taraf shift ek bada development hai.

Hua Kya?

India sach mein mangoes ka sabse bada producer toh hai hi, saal mein lagbhag 25 million tonnes ka production hota hai. Lekin export ki baat karein toh figure alag hi hai. FY25 mein, fresh mangoes ka export sirf 29,938 metric tonnes tha, jiski value around $56.5 million thi. Ye overall production ka sirf 2-3% hai. Domestic market toh sabse bada buyer hai, par Mexico jaise countries comparison mein kafi zyada export karte hain, kyunki unke paas better logistics aur direct market access hai.

Logistics Ki Maar

Indian exporters ke liye sabse badi problem hai supply chain ki high cost aur complexity. Fresh mangoes kharab hone wale hote hain, isliye zyada tar air cargo use hota hai. Kai baar toh freight cost hi export price ka aadha se zyada ho jata hai, jis se Indian mangoes international market mein mehenge ho jate hain. Aur toh aur, Vapor Heat Treatment (VHT) aur Gamma Irradiation facilities ki kami ke karan kaam atak jata hai. Yeh facilities fruit safety aur international standards ke liye zaroori hain. Achhe cold chain aur connectivity ke bina fresh fruit export ko badhana mushkil hai.

Processed Goods Par Dhyan

Seasonality aur shelf-life ki problems ko overcome karne ke liye, industry ab processed mango products ki taraf zyada mud rahi hai. FY25 mein, India ne 63,000 metric tonnes se zyada ka mango pulp export kiya, jiski value lagbhag $80.34 million thi. Fresh fruit ke opposite, mango pulp, purees, aur concentrates ki shelf life kafi lambi hoti hai. Is se companies saal bhar products bech sakti hain aur short harvest season par reliance kam ho jata hai. Global food manufacturers ke liye, processed mango ingredients ek consistent supply provide karte hain, jo agricultural export economy ke liye ek stable growth engine ban gaya hai.

Sector Ke Risks

Investors ko kuch structural risks par nazar rakhni chahiye. Climate change production par seedha asar dalta hai; unseasonal baarish aur temperature fluctuations se Alphonso jaisi premium varieties ki yield kam ho sakti hai. Export ke liye regulatory requirements bhi kaafi strict hain. International trade relations mein koi bhi gadbad ya import duty mein change export volumes ko turant affect kar sakta hai. Aur haan, global commodity prices aur competition bhi ek factor hai, khaas kar un countries se jahan logistics aur production cost kam hai.

Investors Ko Kya Dekhna Chahiye?

APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) in exports ko promote karne mein important role play kar rahi hai, khaas kar UAE, US, aur Singapore jaise markets mein. Investors government initiatives jaise PM Gati Shakti programme par nazar rakh sakte hain, jo logistics efficiency aur cold chain capacity ko improve karne ke liye hain. Business ke liye sabse important monitorable processed products ke volume mein consistent growth hoga, kyunki yeh segment perishable agricultural exports ki volatility se behtar protection deta hai. Export realization mein improvement ya naye, high-value regions mein expansion bhi industry ke progress ke key indicators honge.
