India ka pehla C295 plane!

Ye C295 plane ka final assembly abhi khatam hua hai, aur bahut rumour hai ki hamare Prime Minister Narendra Modi khud iski launch ceremony mein aa sakte hain! Ye sab 2021 mein hui ek deal ka result hai, jiske tehet Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) ko Airbus ke saath mil kar 40 C295 planes local assemble karne hain. Baaki ke 16 planes seedha Airbus ke Spain waale factory se aayenge. Is poori deal ki value lagbhag ₹21,935 Crore hai.

Local sourcing aur plane ki taaqat

Sabse zabardast baat ye hai ki is plane mein lagbhag 70% components India mein hi source kiye ja rahe hain, jo apne aerospace supply chain ke liye bahut achha hai. Lekin kuch zaruri cheezein, jaise Pratt & Whitney ke engines, abhi bhi imported hain. Ye C295 plane kaafi versatile hai - troops aur cargo le jaane ke liye, medical evacuations ke liye, aur surveillance missions ke liye bhi use ho sakta hai. Aur ye chote ya unprepared airstrips par bhi easily operate kar sakta hai!
