CSIR-NAL ne officially Pioneer Clean Amps ke saath milkar HANSA-3 (NG) trainer aircraft ki large-scale manufacturing shuru karne ka faisla kiya hai. Ab tak CSIR-NAL ne prototypes banaye the, lekin ab industrial-scale production ke liye ek specialized partner chahiye tha. Yeh manufacturing facility Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh mein set up hogi. Is partnership se government research body design aur prototype testing se aage badhkar commercial manufacturing ki taraf badh rahi hai, jiska aim hai India ki pilot training ki demand ko poora karna.
Khud ki manufacturing ki taraf?
Hamesha se India pilot training ke liye imported aircraft par depend karta aaya hai. Lekin ab HANSA-3 (NG) ko Flight Training Organisations (FTOs) ke liye ek indigenous (desi) option ke taur par design kiya gaya hai. Ministry of Civil Aviation bhi desh mein FTOs ki sankhya badha rahi hai, jise 38 se badha kar 70+ karne ka target hai. Har saal 400 se zyada naye pilots ko training chahiye, toh is demand ko poora karne ke liye yeh initiative launch kiya gaya hai. Local production se pilot training ka kharcha kam hoga aur yeh business India mein hi rahega.
