सरकारी कंपनी एनएलसी इंडिया लिमिटेड (NLCIL) ने 106 मेगावाट (MW) सौर ऊर्जा क्षमता और सफलतापूर्वक चालू कर दी है। यह विस्तार राजस्थान के बीकानेर जिले में स्थित 300 मेगावाट बरसिंगसर सौर ऊर्जा परियोजना का हिस्सा है। इस नए जुड़ाव के साथ, बरसिंगसर परियोजना की कुल चालू क्षमता अब 158.83 मेगावाट हो गई है, जिसमें पहले 52.83 मेगावाट चालू किया गया था। राजस्थान अक्षय ऊर्जा निगम (RRECL) ने चालू होने का प्रमाण पत्र जारी कर दिया है।
परियोजना में स्वदेशी रूप से निर्मित, उच्च दक्षता वाले बाईफेशियल सौर पीवी मॉड्यूल का उपयोग किया गया है, जो आत्मनिर्भर भारत पहल का समर्थन करते हैं और घरेलू विनिर्माण को बढ़ावा देते हैं। उत्पन्न होने वाली सारी सौर ऊर्जा राजस्थान राज्य को आपूर्ति की जाएगी, जो इसके नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मिश्रण में योगदान देगी। NLCIL दिसंबर 2025 तक पूरी 300 मेगावाट क्षमता हासिल करने की योजना बना रहा है।
