इंडियन एनर्जी एक्सचेंज (IEX) ने अक्टूबर के लिए अपनी कुल बिजली व्यापार मात्रा में 16.5% की साल-दर-साल (YoY) वृद्धि दर्ज की है, जो 11,233 मिलियन यूनिट रही। यह वृद्धि तब हुई जब देश की कुल बिजली खपत में 6% की YoY कमी आई।
एक्सचेंज ने बिजली की कीमतों में उल्लेखनीय कमी देखी। डे-अहेड मार्केट (DAM) क्लियरिंग प्राइस 32% गिरकर 2.67 रुपये प्रति यूनिट हो गई, और रियल-टाइम मार्केट (RTM) की कीमतें 27.8% गिरकर 2.73 रुपये प्रति यूनिट हो गईं। कीमतों में यह गिरावट हाइड्रो, पवन और सौर स्रोतों से बढ़ी हुई आपूर्ति तरलता (liquidity) के कारण हुई, साथ ही कोयला-आधारित बिजली उत्पादन भी स्थिर रहा। कम कीमतों से वितरण कंपनियों और वाणिज्यिक/औद्योगिक उपभोक्ताओं को अपने बिजली खरीद खर्च को कम करने का अवसर मिलता है।
IEX के सेगमेंट में, डे-अहेड मार्केट (DAM) वॉल्यूम में 6.7% की YoY वृद्धि हुई, जो 4,684 मिलियन यूनिट रही और कुल का 38.7% योगदान दिया। रियल-टाइम मार्केट (RTM) ने 46.8% वृद्धि दिखाते हुए 4,583 मिलियन यूनिट का व्यापार किया, जो कुल मात्रा का 37.8% था। हालांकि, टर्म-अहेड मार्केट (TAM) वॉल्यूम में 27.7% की गिरावट आई।
एक्सचेंज का ग्रीन मार्केट सेगमेंट, जिसमें ग्रीन डे-अहेड मार्केट (G-DAM) और ग्रीन टर्म-अहेड मार्केट (G-TAM) शामिल हैं, ने 21% की YoY वॉल्यूम वृद्धि देखी और 1,055 मिलियन यूनिट का व्यापार किया। इसके अलावा, रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी सर्टिफिकेट्स (RECs) का कारोबार 39.4% बढ़कर 6.19 लाख सर्टिफिकेट हो गया।
