Shadowfax Technologies, a leading Indian logistics service provider, has submitted updated documentation to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for its Initial Public Offering (IPO) intended to raise Rs 2,000 crore. The IPO structure comprises a fresh issuance of shares worth Rs 1,000 crore to fund the company's growth initiatives, and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of Rs 1,000 crore, through which existing shareholders including Flipkart, Eight Roads Investments Mauritius II Ltd, NewQuest Asia Fund IV (Singapore) Pte. Ltd, Nokia Growth Partners IV, L.P, International Finance Corporation, Mirae Asset, Qualcomm Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd, and Snapdeal founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Kumar Bansal will offload their stakes.
Proceeds from the fresh issue are designated for enhancing network infrastructure, funding lease payments for new logistics centers, and for branding, marketing, and general corporate purposes, including potential acquisitions. Shadowfax is a significant player in India's e-commerce logistics, with the e-commerce segment contributing around 75% of its revenue. The company processed 43.63 crore orders in FY25, achieving a 30% CAGR from FY23, and reported Rs 2,485 crore in revenue from operations for FY25.
Impact: This IPO filing signals strong investor confidence in India's burgeoning logistics and e-commerce sectors. The substantial capital infusion can fuel Shadowfax's expansion, potentially leading to increased market share and operational efficiency, presenting a new investment avenue for the public.
