Detailed Coverage :

IntrCity SmartBus has announced a significant funding achievement, securing ₹250 crore in a Series D round, with A91 Partners leading the investment. This infusion of capital is strategically planned to improve customer satisfaction, advance its fleet management technology, and broaden its operational reach into smaller cities across India. The company has ambitious growth targets, aiming to double its fleet size and achieve a turnover of ₹1,000 crore within the next fiscal year, building on its consistent 50 per cent year-on-year growth.

Co-founder Manish Rathi highlighted that the funds will also empower operator partners by helping them increase their revenue. IntrCity SmartBus operates on an asset-light model, providing standardized and safe intercity travel solutions on over 630 routes in 15 states. Its technological backbone includes advanced tools for real-time tracking, predictive maintenance, and dynamic route management, supported by its sister brand, RailYatri.

Impact: This funding is a strong positive indicator for the intercity transport and technology sectors in India. It fuels competition and innovation, potentially leading to better services and more affordable travel options for consumers. It also signifies continued investor confidence in India's digital transformation and growing intercity mobility market. Rating: 8/10
