Detailed Coverage :

Electric mobility startup EXELmoto, backed by celebrities like Suniel Shetty and KL Rahul, has officially partnered with logistics giant Delhivery India Limited. The collaboration aims to introduce customized electric bikes specifically for last-mile delivery operations, marking EXELmoto's significant move into the business-to-business (B2B) market.

The partnership, which began with pilot testing in June 2025, has already seen the phased delivery of 200 logistics e-bikes. Akshai Varde, Founder and CEO of EXELmoto, highlighted the success of the custom-designed bike in improving Return on Investment (ROI) for logistics partners, stating "We worked very closely to understand whether we could take his ROI up by 30 to 40 per cent and we were successful."

The e-bike boasts a payload capacity of 45 kg and features a pedal-assist functionality, allowing riders to manually propel the vehicle if the battery runs out.

Beyond logistics, EXELmoto is exploring broader applications for its electric cycles. Varde mentioned potential uses in tourism for sightseeing, on large educational campuses for student mobility (as they are license-free and registration-free), and even for government agencies for patrolling duties and defence applications.

EXELmoto also unveiled 'Scoot', an electric cycle with a step-through frame and bench seat targeting women and elderly riders, offering 45 kilometers range on throttle and up to 60-80 kilometers with pedaling. These vehicles also require no license or registration.

Addressing after-sales service, Varde explained a distributed model where local cycle mechanics are trained to service most components, with quick 48-72 hour turnaround for battery, motor, and electricals. The company offers a two-year battery warranty and a one-year frame warranty.

With 68 retail outlets currently, EXELmoto plans to list on Amazon and Flipkart in November 2025 and aims to achieve an annual manufacturing capacity of 50,000 units by Q3 2026.

Impact This collaboration strengthens Delhivery India Limited's logistics fleet with eco-friendly and potentially cost-effective electric bikes, enhancing last-mile delivery efficiency. For EXELmoto, it signifies a major validation and entry into the lucrative B2B segment, paving the way for expansion. The news is positive for investors interested in the electric mobility and logistics sectors in India, potentially boosting EXELmoto's brand visibility and Delhivery's operational capabilities. Impact rating: 7/10.
