Yantra Packs Raises ₹12 Crore To Expand Packaging Rental Business

Gurugram-based logistics startup Yantra Packs has secured ₹12 crore in seed funding led by Caret Capital. The company offers reusable packaging solutions like pallets and crates to help businesses reduce costs and emissions. The funds will support its national expansion and the development of Trakkia, its proprietary asset-tracking platform.

Yantra Packs, a Gurugram-based startup specializing in reusable packaging for industrial supply chains, has raised ₹12 crore in a seed funding round led by Caret Capital. This infusion of capital is aimed at scaling the company's operations nationwide, increasing its pool of assets, and upgrading its technological infrastructure.

The company’s business model focuses on a shift away from single-use packaging. Instead of companies buying and discarding pallets, crates, and containers, Yantra Packs offers a rental and pooling system. By providing these reusable assets, the company helps manufacturing businesses lower their logistics costs and reduce their carbon footprint. This model essentially turns a capital expense—buying packaging materials—into an operating expense, which can be more manageable for large industrial clients.

Alongside its physical assets, Yantra Packs operates a technology platform named Trakkia. This tool provides real-time visibility, allowing clients to track their containers and pallets as they move between plants, suppliers, and logistics providers. This level of tracking is crucial in complex supply chains where losing assets can lead to significant financial losses and operational delays.

While this funding marks a significant growth step, it also places Yantra Packs into a competitive logistics ecosystem. The asset-pooling space in India is evolving, with established players like Leap India and Holisol Logistics already operating at scale. For investors and observers, the key challenge for startups in this segment is execution. Success depends on the ability to maintain a high utilization rate of their reusable assets and ensuring that the tracking technology effectively reduces the loss rate of these containers across thousands of transport miles.

The company currently manages over 250,000 containers across eight warehouses and serves more than 30 enterprise customers. As Yantra Packs expands, its ability to maintain these margins while growing its asset fleet will be important to watch. The company was founded in 2020 by Vipin Battu and Karan Saharan and previously raised funding from Impact Infracap in 2024. As a private entity, it is not listed on any stock exchange, meaning the impact of this expansion is reflected in its private valuation and market share rather than public share price movements.
