The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has opened bidding for 52 highway projects spanning 2,188 km, requiring a significant capital expenditure of ₹1.15 lakh crore by November 14. This initiative is key to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) achieving its 2025-26 targets of awarding and constructing 10,000 km of national highways, despite a slower start in the first half of the current fiscal year.
