Kolkata Metro Purple Line Milestone: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited and Nepal Consulate Agree on Land Exchange

Overview

A significant hurdle for the Kolkata Metro's Purple Line (Joka-Park Street) has been overcome. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), the project's implementing agency, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Consulate General of Nepal. This agreement facilitates the exchange of land parcels – 409.53 sq. metres from the Consulate for 526.34 sq. metres of Metro Railway land – crucial for constructing a ramp between Mominpur and Kidderpore.
