Indofast Energy and GLIDA are collaborating to install over 100 battery-swapping stations across 50 Indian locations within the next 12 months. Indofast Energy and GLIDA have announced a strategic partnership to expand electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure across India. The two companies plan to deploy more than 100 battery-swapping stations at 50 existing charging sites within the next year. An initial group of 10 rapid interchange stations will be set up in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

Creating Integrated EV Energy Hubs

The primary goal of this collaboration is to create unified EV energy destinations. By placing battery-swapping units directly at GLIDA’s established charging stations, the companies aim to offer a one-stop solution for different types of electric vehicles. This model is designed to simplify energy access for users, especially in high-traffic urban areas.

For delivery riders and commercial fleet operators, time is money. This partnership is built to support them by offering quick battery swapping at convenient locations, which helps them maximize their on-road time. The strategy leverages GLIDA’s existing, power-ready sites to help Indofast expand its 'Battery-as-a-Service' network more efficiently than building new locations from scratch.
