A key target set by the ministry is a drastic reduction in accidents, aiming for a single-digit figure by 2026, down from the 11 recorded in the previous fiscal year. This focus on safety is paramount, signaling a commitment to making train travel more secure for millions.
Beyond safety and infrastructure, the reform agenda incorporates leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to streamline operations.
