Enhanced Lakshadweep Connectivity
Regional carrier FLY91 is set to launch daily non-stop flights between Kochi and Agatti, significantly enhancing air connectivity to the Lakshadweep islands. Bookings are now open, with operations commencing in early February. This route aims to provide greater flexibility for island residents and tourists alike.
Aggressive Network Expansion
Beyond the new Kochi-Agatti service, FLY91 announced an ambitious plan to add seven new stations over the next 90 days. This expansion will bring its total network to 15 destinations. Upcoming routes include services connecting Kochi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Hubballi, Dabolim, Nanded, and Indore to various cities.
Fleet Augmentation
To support this growth, FLY91 is inducting three additional ATR 72-600 aircraft within the next 45 days, bringing its total fleet to six. This phased fleet expansion is designed to increase flight frequencies, open new city pairs, and maintain operational reliability across its growing network.
CEO's Vision
Manoj Chacko, managing director and CEO of FLY91, emphasized the airline's commitment to regional aviation. "The launch of daily Kochi-Agatti flights adds momentum to regional aviation in India," he stated. "Aspirational tier-two and tier-three destinations will drive India’s next phase of growth, and improved regional connectivity is key to unlocking that potential."
The airline will also introduce thrice-daily flights on the Rajahmundry-Hyderabad and Vijayawada-Hyderabad routes, alongside daily services between Hubballi-Hyderabad and Hubballi-Bengaluru. Future phases will connect Nanded to South Goa and Bengaluru, and Indore to Jalgaon and Hyderabad. FLY91 currently serves nine destinations, focusing on smaller markets and operating from regional hubs.
