Sikhar Fleet Enters Delhi-NCR EV Market
Former YoloBus CEO Sanjay Jadoun has launched Sikhar Fleet, a new player in India's burgeoning electric mobility sector. The company commenced operations in Delhi-NCR, targeting a B2B Electric Vehicle Fleet-as-a-Service model. This venture aims to resolve prevalent issues such as driver dissatisfaction with unpredictable earnings and customer complaints regarding vehicle hygiene.
Service Offering and Operational Claims
Sikhar Fleet provides comprehensive managed electric fleets for ride-hailing platforms, enterprises, and logistics firms. Services include professional drivers, meticulously maintained electric vehicles, transparent daily earnings with rapid payouts, and robust charging/energy partnerships. The company leverages its expertise in large-scale mobility operations to ensure over 95% vehicle uptime, a critical factor for stable driver income.
Economic Viability and Partnerships
According to Sikhar Fleet, more than 90% of its current fleet is already profitable on a unit-economic basis. This performance supports sustainable growth and consistent service quality. The integrated model allows partners to focus on demand generation while Sikhar Fleet handles fleet operations, reliability, and customer experience. An early traction point is an official EV fleet partnership with Rapido, currently active in Delhi-NCR and slated for expansion.
Vision for Drivers and Ecosystem
Sanjay Jadoun stated, "Indian cities are facing rising air pollution, drivers are struggling within fragmented and unpredictable earning models, and customers are increasingly dissatisfied with unhygienic vehicles and unreliable cab services." He emphasized that Sikhar Fleet is built to prove that electric mobility, backed by disciplined operations, can be environmentally clean, fair for drivers, reliable for customers, and economically sustainable.
Dharam Jadoun, Co-Founder, highlighted the company's driver-first approach. "When they are paid on time, treated with dignity, and supported with clean, well-maintained electric vehicles, they can focus on delivering a safe, reliable, and high-quality experience to customers," he said. This philosophy is seen as fundamental to raising service standards and building a scalable electric mobility network.
Expansion Plans
Sikhar Fleet currently operates over 50 electric vehicles and has agreements for an additional 200. The company intends to scale its fleet to over 1,000 electric vehicles across multiple cities within the next 12 months. The strategic focus will be on high-usage urban mobility segments like ride-hailing, corporate transport, and last-mile logistics.
