This plan aims to offer travelers refunds of up to 80% for last-minute cancellations due to emergencies. Airlines are expected to bear the premium cost, potentially around Rs 50 per ticket, through arrangements with insurance companies. This initiative seeks to address passenger grievances regarding ticket refunds and reduce the fear of losing money on unforeseen cancellations.
