Detailed Coverage :

Lemon Tree Hotels announced on Thursday that it has entered into agreements with real-estate giant RJ Corp Limited for the development of two new hotel properties, one in Ayodhya and another in Guwahati. These agreements fall under Development Management and License terms, wherein RJ Corp, owned by Ravi Jaipuria, will develop the hotels, leveraging the technical expertise of Lemon Tree Hotels. Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels, will be responsible for managing the operations of these new establishments.

The Lemon Tree Premier in Ayodhya is planned to feature approximately 300 rooms. Its location is notably close to key sites, situated about 4.5 km from Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, 8 km from Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, and 3 km from the nearest railway station, positioning it well for religious tourism.

The second property, also a Lemon Tree Premier in Guwahati, will comprise around 300 rooms and 50 serviced apartments equipped with kitchenettes. This property has a strategic objective to enter and cater to the medical tourism segment.

Patanjali G. Keswani, Executive Chairman of Lemon Tree Hotels, stated that these signings are in line with the company's vision for substantial portfolio expansion, offering comfortable stays. He highlighted the Guwahati property's role in accessing a new segment of travellers.

Impact This expansion is a positive development for Lemon Tree Hotels, signaling growth and increased market presence. The strategic choice of locations and the focus on niche segments like religious and medical tourism could drive revenue and enhance profitability.
