Meghalaya is transforming its tourism sector with a focus on community empowerment and authentic experiences, supported by Rs 204 crore from the Asian Development Bank and Rs 233 crore from the PM-DevINE scheme. Key projects include developing Wahkhen as a music village, a living root bridge museum, a rain interpretation center, and coffee experiential centers, aiming to boost local livelihoods and preserve culture.
