KPR Mill Ltd, a diversified company involved in textiles, sugar, ethanol, and power generation, has announced its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q2 FY26). The company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹218 crore, marking a 6.3% increase compared to the ₹204 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous year. Revenue for the quarter saw a significant rise of 10.3% year-on-year, reaching ₹1,632 crore from ₹1,480 crore in Q2 FY25. This growth reflects sustained demand across KPR Mill's diverse business operations.
However, Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) were marginally lower at ₹314.8 crore, down from ₹316.8 crore in the prior year. Consequently, operating margins slightly decreased to 19.3% from 20% in the year-ago period. The company highlighted that its integrated operations, covering yarn, knitted fabric, garments, sugar, ethanol, and power, continue to offer a stable foundation for earnings, even amidst fluctuating commodity prices.
Ahead of the announcement, KPR Mill's shares experienced a decline, closing 2.4% lower at ₹1,051.20 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Impact: This news has a moderate impact on the Indian stock market, particularly for investors holding shares of KPR Mill or those interested in the textile, sugar, and ethanol sectors. The profit and revenue growth are positive signs, but the slight dip in EBITDA and margins might temper investor enthusiasm in the short term. The company's integrated business model is a strength. Impact Rating: 5/10
