The modernization effort spans several major states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Karnataka. The project involves installing advanced equipment, such as High Volume Instrument (HVI) testers and trash analysers, which are critical for determining the quality parameters of raw cotton. According to official disclosures, 14 HVI testers and 28 trash analysers have already been deployed across 13 laboratories managed by the Textiles Committee and the Cotton Corporation of India.
