Aastha Spintex Sets September 28 Record Date for 1:1 Bonus

Aastha Spintex has fixed September 28, 2026, as the record date for its 1:1 bonus share issue. Eligible shareholders will receive one new share for every share held, as the company capitalizes ₹44.14 crore from its reserves. This move aims to improve stock liquidity, though the market price per share will adjust downward proportionately to reflect the increased share count.

Aastha Spintex has finalized September 28, 2026, as the record date to determine shareholder eligibility for its 1:1 bonus issue. This corporate action will result in every existing shareholder receiving one additional fully paid-up equity share for every share currently held, at no extra cost. To facilitate this distribution, the company is capitalizing ₹44.14 crore from its accumulated reserves, which will lead to the issuance of 4.41 crore new equity shares. To accommodate this, the company has raised its authorized share capital from ₹45 crore to ₹100 crore.

This expansion is intended to support the company’s strategic shift toward forward-integrated textile segments. Aastha Spintex plans to utilize its strengthened capital structure to expand its presence in the grey fabric market and develop its own proprietary value-added product lines. While the bonus issue serves to potentially improve liquidity and make the stock more accessible by lowering the price per share, investors should understand that this does not increase the underlying business value or total equity value. On the ex-bonus date, the share price will automatically adjust downward to account for the new shares, maintaining the same total market capitalization.

The textile industry in India remains highly sensitive to input cost volatility, particularly fluctuations in cotton prices, and is influenced by export demand conditions. As the company works to scale its operations into new product segments, it faces the typical execution risks associated with capacity expansion in a competitive sector. Additionally, smaller companies in the textile space often experience lower trading volumes and higher sensitivity to market volatility compared to larger industry players. Investors should monitor how the increased liquidity from this bonus issue impacts trading activity on the exchanges. The key factor for shareholders to watch moving forward will be the company's ability to maintain profit margins and execute its expansion plans without overextending its financial resources.
