Overview

India's Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has withdrawn its plan to limit the number of customers satellite communication providers like Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb can onboard. Instead, the government will now implement capacity-based limits, meaning companies can serve as many users as their approved capacity allows. This change addresses implementation challenges and may lead to adjusted spectrum pricing for increased capacity.
