Bharti Hexacom Shares Drop 2% Amid Profit Booking

Bharti Hexacom stock declined over 2% to ₹1,507 on Monday as investors opted to book profits during market volatility. Despite the dip, the company recently reported a 23.2% jump in quarterly net profit to ₹482 crore and strong growth in its homes and offices segment, supported by higher revenue per user.

Bharti Hexacom shares experienced a decline of approximately 2% in Monday's trading session, with the stock price hovering around ₹1,507. This downward movement reflects broader market volatility, as investors engaged in profit booking following a rally in the stock's performance over previous weeks.

While the share price faced pressure, the company’s recent financial disclosures indicate operational growth. For the first quarter of the 2027 fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, Bharti Hexacom reported a revenue of ₹2,510 crore, representing a 10.9% increase compared to the same period last year. Net profit also rose by 23.2% to ₹482 crore.

A key metric for telecom companies is the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). In its latest quarterly update, the company reported an ARPU of ₹259, compared to ₹246 in the previous period. Additionally, the company's homes and offices business segment saw significant growth of approximately 61.4% over the year. The company recently completed its dividend payment, with a final dividend of ₹18.00 per share, or 360%, becoming effective on July 31, 2026.

Despite these financial gains, the telecommunications sector remains highly competitive. The company operates in a space where heavy investment is required to maintain and expand network infrastructure, including 4G, 5G, and fiber optic services. Maintaining this pace of growth requires consistent capital spending, which can impact cash flow if revenue does not keep up with the cost of expansion.

Investors are now looking toward how the company manages these operational costs while navigating the competitive landscape. Future performance will depend on the company's ability to continue improving its ARPU through its current user base and the successful execution of its ongoing infrastructure projects. As with other telecom players, any delay in network expansion or a change in sector pricing dynamics could pose risks to future earnings.
