Live entertainment platform ThumpN has secured over $3.75 million in pre-seed funding. The round was backed by prominent figures including Arijit Singh, Badshah, and Paytm leadership. The company plans to use the capital to scale its AI-powered event discovery tool, Shadow, which helps users find concerts, shows, and festivals based on personal interests.

Live entertainment discovery platform ThumpN has successfully raised over $3.75 million in a pre-seed funding round. The investment highlights a growing interest from both the entertainment industry and the technology sector in the Indian live event market. The round attracted high-profile participants, including music artists Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Badshah, alongside Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and CFO Madhur Deora. Other investors such as Shray Chandra of Capitalmind and VG Jairam of Hyperlink Brand Solutions also contributed to the funding.

Scaling AI-Driven Discovery

ThumpN addresses the fragmented nature of event discovery in India by utilizing an AI-based conversational agent named Shadow. Unlike traditional ticketing platforms that rely on search bars and filters, Shadow is designed to understand user intent through natural language. According to CEO Varun Khare, the platform aims to solve the problem of information being scattered across social media, messaging apps, and word-of-mouth recommendations. The company plans to use the fresh capital to further develop this technology and expand its reach across various categories, including nightlife, sports, and cultural festivals.
