Tanla Platforms Profit Rises 17% in Q2, Declares ₹6 Dividend

Tanla Platforms posted a 17.1% year-on-year growth in net profit for Q2 FY27, reaching ₹146.4 crore. Driven by a 25.3% revenue jump to ₹1,352 crore, the company announced an interim dividend of ₹6 per share. Investors are watching the slight dip in EBITDA margins to 15.9%, which highlights the competitive pricing pressure in the enterprise messaging sector.

Tanla Platforms has reported a steady performance for the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year, with the company’s net profit increasing by 17.1% to ₹146.4 crore. This growth comes alongside a strong rise in total revenue, which reached ₹1,352 crore, up 25.3% from the same period last year. In tandem with these financial results, the company’s board of directors has approved an interim dividend of ₹6 per share.

While the company’s ability to grow its top line is clear, the latest figures show some pressure on profitability. The EBITDA margin, which measures core operational profitability, stood at 15.9% in this quarter, compared to 16.5% a year ago. In the enterprise communication and messaging sector, such margin shifts are often linked to pricing adjustments and changing costs associated with different service mixes. Companies in this space often face intense competition, which can limit the ability to raise prices despite higher volumes of messaging traffic.

Tanla Platforms provides enterprise communication and digital security solutions, acting as a crucial bridge between businesses and their customers for services like SMS and WhatsApp notifications. Because the company deals with high volumes of digital traffic, its profitability is sensitive to both the cost of providing these services and the competitive landscape of the Communication Platform as a Service, or CPaaS, sector. Investors watching this space often monitor whether companies can maintain their margins while aggressively scaling their revenue.

The stock has seen recent volatility, trading recently at ₹579.30, which is approximately 11.8% below its 52-week high of ₹656.70. With a market capitalization of approximately ₹7,683.49 crore, the company’s focus remains on sustaining its position as a key player in the digital messaging market. Moving forward, the most important factors for investors to track will be the company’s ability to stabilize its profit margins and any updates regarding regulatory changes in the messaging industry, which can directly impact traffic volumes and operational costs.
