Bengaluru-based startup Superleap has secured ₹36 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Peak XV’s Surge. The company provides AI-native CRM software for large enterprises and will use the funds to expand sales and product development. This capital injection aims to help the firm compete with legacy CRM providers by automating revenue operations.
Superleap, an AI-focused software startup, announced on Tuesday that it has raised ₹36 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment was led by Peak XV’s Surge programme, a well-known platform for early-stage startups. Founded by former Unacademy executives Subham Kumar Boundia, Alok Maurya, and Saurabh Maheshwari, the company is positioning itself as a modern alternative to traditional customer relationship management systems.
Targeting Large Enterprise Customers
Unlike many software startups that target small and medium businesses, Superleap focuses on large enterprises where sales and revenue teams require complex data handling. The company reported that its typical contract value ranges between $60,000 and $100,000. By targeting these larger clients, the firm aims to capture a segment that often struggles with the manual data entry requirements of legacy CRM systems.
The platform consists of three main modules: SuperOS for managing customer data, SuperSense for intelligence gathering, and SuperAgents for automating specific sales tasks. The company stated that it has already migrated large volumes of data for established clients such as Razorpay, which moved over 10 million records to the Superleap platform in 45 days.
Growth and Operational Plans
Superleap intends to use this new capital to accelerate its expansion both within India and in international markets. A significant portion of the funds is earmarked for increasing its workforce, specifically to support the scaling of its enterprise sales operations. The company reported a tenfold increase in business over the past year, reflecting rapid adoption across sectors like financial services, healthcare, and education.
Competitive Context and Market Challenges
The CRM software market is highly competitive, dominated by global giants such as Salesforce and HubSpot, which have deep-rooted footprints in the enterprise sector. For a newer entrant, the primary challenge remains the cost and operational difficulty of migrating large organizations from established legacy systems. While the company claims to offer a transition with minimal disruption, investors should note that the success of such platforms often depends on their ability to integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise software ecosystems like Microsoft Teams and Slack.
Furthermore, while Superleap serves a diverse client base including Aakash Education and Cars24, its future growth will likely depend on the recurring revenue generated from these high-value enterprise contracts. The company's focus on AI agents suggests it is trying to differentiate itself by reducing the manual workload for sales personnel, a key pain point in the industry. The next important update for stakeholders will be the company's ability to maintain its growth trajectory while managing the increased operational costs associated with global expansion.
