Infotech Acquires Zluri to Launch AI Analytics Platform

Info-Tech Research Group has acquired Bengaluru-based SaaS startup Zluri in its first-ever corporate takeover. The deal enables the launch of a new platform designed to help IT leaders manage software spending and security using AI and real-time operational data. Infotech, which reports over $300 million in annual revenue, plans to integrate Zluri’s technology to transform its advisory services.

Info-Tech Research Group, which operates as Infotech, has acquired Bengaluru-based SaaS management startup Zluri. This transaction marks the firm's first-ever corporate takeover in its nearly 30-year history, signaling a move to modernize its business model. Infotech is shifting away from traditional, static research toward a more data-centric advisory approach that uses real-time operational inputs.

The acquisition is central to the launch of Infotech's new "CIO Analytics" platform, which debuted at the Info-Tech LIVE 2026 event. Zluri, which was founded in 2020, provides specialised tools for Application Discovery and Identity Governance. These tools help companies track their software subscriptions, manage security permissions, and identify inefficiencies in their cloud environments. By integrating these capabilities, Infotech aims to automate data collection for its clients, moving the focus of its analysts from manual data gathering to interpreting complex operational metrics.

This move is designed to support Infotech's "AI-Assisted Advisory Services." Under this model, human analysts will oversee AI outputs to provide tailored recommendations to enterprise IT leaders. The company reports that it has experienced significant growth, with a reported 340% increase over the last seven years and annual revenue now exceeding $300 million. By combining its existing network of 30,000 IT leaders with Zluri’s operational data, Infotech is positioning itself to compete more aggressively with larger, global technology consulting firms.

Because this is the company's first-ever acquisition, integration will be a key area for industry observers to monitor. Merging a younger, Bengaluru-based SaaS startup into an established advisory firm with three decades of history involves potential risks, such as cultural alignment and the technical integration of Zluri’s newer software tools with Infotech’s existing advisory framework. The company has stated that Zluri will operate as a standalone division and will keep its existing team in Bengaluru, a strategy likely aimed at maintaining the startup's agility while scaling the new platform. Success will depend on the firm's ability to maintain the quality of its advisory insights while scaling its new tech-enabled offerings.
