Infosys Q1 FY27 Results Due July 23: What to Track

Infosys is set to report its June quarter results on July 23, with revenue growth expected to be supported by recent acquisitions like Optimum Healthcare IT. Investors will closely watch the company's full-year revenue guidance and operating margins, which face conflicting brokerage views amid mixed sector performance.

Infosys is scheduled to release its financial results for the first quarter of the 2027 fiscal year on July 23. Market estimates indicate a sequential constant currency revenue growth of approximately 2% to 2.2%, largely bolstered by contributions from recent strategic acquisitions. While the company's inorganic growth—revenue from acquired businesses—is expected to be a positive contributor, the core organic performance remains a key focus for investors assessing the company's health.

Revenue and Profit Projections

Analyst forecasts suggest that Infosys may report quarterly revenue in the range of ₹48,086 crore to ₹48,659 crore. While net profit is projected to show a healthy year-on-year growth of 16% to 18.1%, it may witness a sequential dip of 3.9% to 5.3%. This profit variation often occurs in the first quarter due to shifting operational dynamics. Investors should note that operating margins are expected to improve by 20 to 40 basis points, landing near 21.2% to 21.4%. This potential margin expansion is attributed to the absence of annual wage hikes in the June quarter and the reversal of one-time visa expenses incurred previously.

Guidance and Growth Uncertainties

The most significant monitorable for shareholders is the company's full-year guidance for fiscal year 2027. Brokerage houses are divided on whether Infosys will maintain, raise, or lower its revenue growth targets. Some analysts suggest that a weaker-than-expected start to the fiscal year could lead the company to trim the upper end of its growth guidance. Conversely, others believe that the integration of recent acquisitions, such as Optimum Healthcare IT and Stratus, provides enough stability to potentially lift guidance. The final decision by management will signal their confidence in demand trends for the remainder of the year.

Sector and Operational Pressures

While the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) and Energy, Utilities, and Resources verticals are showing signs of strength, other segments continue to face challenges. The manufacturing and telecom sectors are dealing with specific client issues, including the ongoing impact of the Daimler contract ramp-down. Additionally, while acquisitions are driving top-line numbers, they also introduce costs related to amortization and integration. Investors should monitor whether the company’s internal efficiency programs, such as Project Maximus, can offset the investments required for artificial intelligence and large deal implementations. The balance between inorganic revenue gains and organic business resilience will be critical in determining the company's performance trajectory in the coming quarters.
