Indegene Forecasts FY27 Revenue Growth Above 24%

Indegene expects revenue growth in fiscal year 2027 to surpass the 23-24% recorded last year, supported by strong demand and new client acquisitions. The firm also anticipates operating margins will recover to 19-20% by the March 2027 quarter. Investors may track the company’s ability to sustain this growth while managing the costs of recent strategic investments.

Indegene, which provides commercialization technology for the life sciences sector, has shared an optimistic outlook for the 2026-27 financial year. The company expects its revenue growth to exceed the 23-24% rate achieved in the previous year. This target is backed by a solid pipeline of new contracts and consistent demand from its existing client base.

Targeting Margin Recovery by March 2027

Indegene’s Chief Financial Officer, Suhas Prabhu, noted that the company expects operating margins to return to the 19-20% range by the final quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027. This anticipated improvement follows a period where the company focused on strategic investments. Management indicated that these costs are beginning to normalize, which should allow profitability to stabilize. The company also pointed to recent performance data from the April-June 2026 quarter, suggesting that current revenue trends are driven by sustainable demand rather than one-time gains.

Deal Wins and Operational Efficiency

The company highlighted recent success in securing large contracts, including over five deals with an annual contract value of more than $1 million each, with one of those exceeding $3 million. Furthermore, Indegene reported a record revenue per employee of $77,100. This is a significant increase from the $50,000-$55,000 range recorded four years ago. The company attributes this improvement to the integration of generative AI and automation tools. By moving toward outcome-based pricing models, Indegene has linked its revenue generation more closely to the efficiency gains provided by its technology.

Market Context and Future Monitoring

While the company’s operational metrics have shown growth, its stock price has seen a decline of over 5% over the past year. With a market capitalization of approximately $1.2 billion, the firm is currently balancing its expansion efforts with the need to maintain profit margins. For investors, the primary monitorables will be the company’s ability to convert its current deal pipeline into actual revenue and whether it can successfully hit its margin targets by the final quarter of the fiscal year. Ongoing performance in the competitive life sciences technology space will depend on how effectively the company continues to deploy its GenAI-enabled solutions to drive client value.
