Grab Raises 2026 Guidance After Profitable Q3 Performance

Grab Holdings has lifted its 2026 revenue and profit forecasts following a 27% revenue jump in the third quarter. While the firm achieved profitability across all core segments for the first time, it faces a $60 million regulatory charge in the coming quarter.

Grab Holdings, the Southeast Asian super-app operator, has lifted its 2026 financial guidance following a robust third-quarter performance. The company’s revenue rose 27% to $1.11 billion, surpassing analyst expectations. Consequently, the firm now projects its 2026 revenue to fall between $4.15 billion and $4.20 billion, while its adjusted core profit guidance was increased to a range of $790 million to $800 million.

A significant milestone for the company was its financial services segment, which reported a positive adjusted core profit of $12 million. This marks the first time all three of its core business segments—Mobility, Deliveries, and Financial Services—have achieved profitability simultaneously. User engagement also showed strength, with monthly transacting users hitting a record 57 million, representing a 20% increase from the previous year.

Despite the positive momentum, Grab faces specific operational and regulatory challenges. The company is dealing with the fallout from the blocked acquisition of Foodpanda Taiwan. This regulatory rejection will result in a $60 million break fee, which the company expects to record in its fourth-quarter results. Furthermore, management noted that macroeconomic factors, such as high fuel costs and inflation, continue to put pressure on both driver earnings and consumer spending. To support its driver base amid these challenges, the company continues to provide incentives like insurance benefits and fuel subsidies.

In terms of capital management, Grab has been active in returning value to shareholders, repurchasing $400 million worth of shares during September and October. It still has $500 million remaining under its current buyback program. While the stock has faced a 42% decline year-to-date, the updated guidance and quarterly results provided a boost, with shares rising 5.54% in the most recent regular trading session. Investors will likely monitor how the company manages the upcoming regulatory costs and whether it can maintain the growth momentum in its financial services division amidst broader economic pressures.
