Galleri5 Unveils AI Filmmaking Platform for VFX Market

Mumbai-based Galleri5 has upgraded its AI Studio platform to support long-form theatrical and animation projects. The company, backed by Collective Artists Network, aims to replace manual labor in VFX pipelines with automated AI workflows. As a private entity, Galleri5 is not listed on Indian stock exchanges, meaning there is no public stock for investors to track.

Galleri5, a Mumbai-based technology firm, has introduced new features for its AI Studio platform at the 'NXT in AI' event held in Hyderabad. The company is positioning this technology to compete with traditional visual effects (VFX) and animation production methods, specifically targeting the professional long-form filmmaking market.

The new platform update focuses on solving common problems in computer-generated imagery, such as maintaining character consistency and camera control across lengthy film projects. Unlike simpler AI tools that create short video clips for social media, Galleri5 has introduced what it calls 'agentic workflows.' These are designed to act like specialized digital assistants, where each agent manages a specific part of the filmmaking process, from initial story development to final shot production. By automating these labor-intensive steps, the company aims to reduce the time and cost required for high-quality animation.

To demonstrate that the technology can handle large-scale work, Galleri5 has already applied it to commercial projects. The company produced 'Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh' for Star Plus and JioHotstar and is currently working on the feature-length film 'Chiranjeevi Hanuman.' These projects serve as a practical test for the platform's ability to maintain high standards in both television and theatrical settings.

For investors and market observers, it is important to note that Galleri5 is a private technology company backed by the Collective Artists Network. Because it is not a publicly traded company on the NSE or BSE, there is no share price or stock market movement to monitor. The company’s growth remains private and is not directly accessible through public equity markets.

The primary challenge ahead for the firm lies in the broader adoption of AI within the creative industry. The global VFX market is highly competitive, with established studios and international AI developers constantly upgrading their own production pipelines. Galleri5 will need to prove that its proprietary workflows can consistently deliver cinema-grade results while navigating the evolving regulatory and copyright environment surrounding AI-generated intellectual property. Observers of the media technology sector may track the company's future partnerships, the adoption of its platform by major studios, and its performance in delivering upcoming feature-length films to gauge its operational progress.
