Fractal Analytics Q2 Revenue Crosses $100 Million, Profit Jumps 139%

Fractal Analytics reported its second-quarter revenue of ₹956.5 crore, marking the first time the company has surpassed $100 million in a single quarter. Profit grew by 139% to ₹79.2 crore, led by strong demand in healthcare and banking sectors. Investors should monitor how the company balances its aggressive talent investment with profit margins in a competitive AI market.

Fractal Analytics has marked a major financial milestone, with the company reporting consolidated revenue of ₹956.5 crore for the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year. This performance represents a 20% year-on-year increase and makes it the first time the company has crossed the $100 million quarterly revenue threshold since its public listing in February 2026. The company’s bottom line also improved significantly, with net income surging by 139% to ₹79.2 crore compared to the same period last year.

The revenue growth was fueled by strong demand in specialized verticals. The healthcare and life sciences segment emerged as a primary growth driver, recording a 79% jump in revenue compared to the previous year. The banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector also performed well, posting a 30% growth. Additionally, Fractal’s focus on its proprietary agentic AI platform, Cogentiq, appears to be gaining market traction, with the platform reaching an annual revenue run-rate of over ₹150 crore, marking a 39% increase from the prior year.

From an operational perspective, the company’s efficiency has improved, with adjusted EBITDA growing 71% year-on-year and margins expanding by 123 basis points to reach 16%. However, while the current growth metrics are strong, the company faces the ongoing challenge of scaling its workforce—which now exceeds 6,000 professionals—without putting excessive pressure on profit margins. High spending on research, development, and attracting specialized AI talent remains a significant cash outflow that investors will need to watch closely.

As a company operating in the fast-moving AI services sector, Fractal remains exposed to broader market sentiment regarding the speed of enterprise AI adoption. While its net revenue retention rate of 115% suggests that existing clients are deepening their ties with the firm, the company must continue to prove its value proposition in a crowded and competitive landscape. The stock has experienced volatility since its IPO earlier this year, and market reaction to quarterly results often depends on whether growth in niche AI platforms can offset the costs of expanding operations and research.

Going forward, key monitorables for shareholders will include the sustainability of the margin expansion, the pace at which clients adopt the Cogentiq agentic AI platform, and the company's ability to maintain high growth rates in its core healthcare and financial service verticals.
