Foxconn October Revenue Soars 46% on AI Server Demand

Hon Hai Precision Industry reported a 46% revenue jump to NT$1.31 trillion in October, driven by strong AI server orders. Despite this growth, the stock has remained relatively flat this year, reflecting investor caution regarding potential overcapacity in AI infrastructure and the company's continued dependence on lower-margin consumer electronics.

Hon Hai Precision Industry, widely known as Foxconn, reported a 46% year-over-year revenue increase for October 2026, reaching NT$1.31 trillion. This sharp rise highlights the company's role as a major manufacturer for AI servers, benefiting from the global push to build data centers. The company's cumulative revenue for the first ten months of 2026 climbed 40.4% compared to the same period last year, confirming that the AI hardware segment has become a significant driver of business activity.

Foxconn currently controls approximately 40% of the global AI server market and has publicly stated its goal to increase this share significantly in the coming years. Much of this growth is linked to demand for infrastructure related to companies like Nvidia. However, the company's stock price has not mirrored this top-line success, rising only about 2% since the start of 2026.

This muted market reaction stems from lingering investor concerns. A substantial part of Foxconn's total revenue still comes from assembling consumer electronics, such as Apple iPhones. This business typically operates with thinner profit margins compared to specialized AI hardware. Investors are also wary of the risks associated with the AI sector, specifically the possibility of overcapacity in data center construction and the efficiency of the capital being spent.

Competition is another factor to watch. As major consumer electronics brands look to diversify their supply chains to reduce reliance on any single manufacturer, rivals like Luxshare Precision have become more active. This creates a challenging landscape where Foxconn must defend its established market share while proving it can generate sustainable profits from its AI-focused expansion.

Going forward, the key for investors will be to monitor the company's ability to maintain healthy profit margins while managing the heavy spending required for its AI projects. The balance between its traditional low-margin business and the high-growth, capital-intensive AI segment will be critical to the company's financial stability in the coming quarters.
