Encore AI Raises $30 Million in Series A Funding

Encore AI has secured $30 million in Series A funding led by Team8 to scale its voice-based AI agents. The startup, which serves over 40 enterprise clients including financial institutions, plans to expand its U.S. sales operations. The company's platform uses interaction mining to train AI agents on successful customer engagement strategies.

Encore AI, a startup that creates voice-based AI agents trained on internal company data, has completed a $30 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by Team8, with additional participation from Planven, Lukatz, and Garage, along with existing bank and insurer clients. This fresh capital is intended to bolster the company’s presence in the United States and accelerate the deployment of its technology within large-scale financial organizations.

How Interaction Mining Works

Founded in 2022 and formerly known as Insait IO, the company differentiates itself through a process it calls interaction mining. The platform integrates with a business's CRM systems to analyze historical data, including call recordings, emails, and text messages. By connecting this data to successful outcomes, the software identifies which communication tactics—such as specific sales techniques or relationship-building strategies—yield the best results.

These insights are then used to build AI agents that can replicate successful behaviors. According to CEO Dvir Ginzburg, these agents are capable of acting as autonomous customer support tools or as assistants for human employees during live interactions, suggesting real-time responses based on proven company playbooks.

Market Position and Competitive Context

Encore AI currently supports over 40 enterprise clients, a significant portion of which are in the financial services sector. The company reports that its annual recurring revenue has grown more than fivefold over the past 18 months. While the company has not publicly disclosed its valuation, the backing of specialized investors and financial sector clients suggests strong interest in AI tools tailored for regulated industries.

Investors monitoring this space should note the competitive landscape. Large-scale CRM providers like Salesforce and HubSpot are actively integrating AI capabilities into their ecosystems. Encore AI's management argues that their business advantage lies in their specific focus on using a company's own historical customer interactions as the primary training foundation. Replicating this data-heavy approach might require established CRM vendors to perform significant upgrades to their existing technology stacks.

Risks and Monitoring Future Growth

As the company scales, a primary risk involves the execution of its expansion into the U.S. market, where it will face competition from both incumbents and other AI-focused startups. Furthermore, since the platform deals with sensitive customer data for banks and insurers, the company faces high standards for data privacy and regulatory compliance. The success of its future growth will depend on its ability to maintain these standards while demonstrating that its AI agents can consistently deliver better performance than human teams without errors or compliance breaches. Investors and observers should monitor the company's progress in securing new enterprise contracts and its ability to prove that its AI agents consistently improve sales and support outcomes in complex, regulated environments.
