Reliance Industries Limited and Google announced a significant partnership to offer free access to premium Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for millions of Jio subscribers in India. This collaboration marks one of the largest consumer-focused AI rollouts in the country.

Eligible Jio users will soon be able to activate an 18-month free subscription to Google AI Pro, a package valued at ₹35,100 per user. This subscription includes access to Google's advanced AI model, Gemini 2.5 Pro, AI image and video generation tools named Nano Banana and Veo 3.1, Notebook LM, and 2 terabytes (TB) of cloud storage.

The initiative will commence with Jio users aged between 18 and 25 years who are on unlimited 5G plans, with a phased nationwide expansion planned over the coming months.

Reliance Industries stated that the collaboration aims to make AI tools accessible to every Indian household and empower the nation with AI capabilities. Beyond consumer access, Reliance will also work with Google Cloud to expand access to AI hardware accelerators, known as TPUs, within India, enabling organizations to train large-scale AI models locally. Reliance Jio will also serve as a go-to-market partner for Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise, an AI platform designed for businesses.

Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, emphasized the goal of making intelligence services accessible to all Indians and empowering them with AI tools for creation, innovation, and growth. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, highlighted the long-standing partnership with Reliance in advancing India's digital future, now extending into the AI era.
