Difficult Terms Explained: EBITDA: Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization. It is a measure of a company's overall financial performance and is used as an alternative to net income in some circumstances. It shows profitability from core operations before considering financing, accounting, and tax decisions. Operating Margins: Calculated by dividing operating income by revenue, this ratio indicates how much profit a company makes from its core business operations for each dollar of sales.
