AI Drives VerSe Innovation's Business Transformation
VerSe Innovation is strategically pivoting to Artificial Intelligence, a move expected to redefine its operations and revenue streams. Co-Founder Umang Bedi projects AI will contribute more than 30% to monetization in the next twelve months. This marks a rapid acceleration of the company's strategy, with AI expected to become a dominant business component within three years.
New AI-Powered Products Emerge
This aggressive AI integration involves developing new applications. Earlier this year, VerSe launched NextVerse.ai, an AI-powered programmatic ad-tech exchange, and Spark AI, aimed at creating high-quality cinematic and advertising content across media. These initiatives highlight the company's strategy to leverage AI for core business functions and new product development.
Financial Stability Supports AI Push
For fiscal year 2025, VerSe Innovation reported revenue of approximately ₹1,300 crore, with an additional ₹600 crore from acquisitions, totaling ₹1,900 crore. The company is prioritizing building a strong foundation of AI-first products before pursuing further mergers and acquisitions. This focus on sustainable growth is backed by monthly positive EBITDA, showing a commitment to financial discipline and long-term profitability.
Expertise Bolsters AI Governance
To reinforce its governance structure for this growth phase, VerSe Innovation appointed P.R. Ramesh as an Independent Director in March. Ramesh, who also chairs the Audit Committee, highlighted AI's role as a key business enabler. He noted that adopting AI is crucial for reducing costs, increasing speed to market, and improving decision-making—essential elements for staying ahead in technology.
