Rajasthan Prepares for Landmark Startup Conclave
The Rajasthan government's Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C), in partnership with TiE Rajasthan, is set to host the Rajasthan DigiFest X TiE Global Summit 2026. This significant entrepreneurship conclave will take place in Jaipur from January 4-6, 2026, at the state-of-the-art Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre.
TGS100: Unearthing Future Innovators
A cornerstone of the Summit is TGS100, the flagship startup discovery and acceleration initiative of the TiE Global Summit. This program is designed as a worldwide hunt for the most promising early-stage startups. TGS100 aims to identify, evaluate, and showcase 100 high-potential, investable ventures poised to become future leaders in technology and innovation. The shortlisted startups will present their ideas during dedicated pitching sessions on January 5 and 6.
India's Thriving Startup Landscape
This announcement arrives as India's startup ecosystem has rapidly ascended to become the world's third-largest over the past decade. The country is now home to more than 70,000 tech startups, 125 unicorns, and 147 soonicorns, representing a vibrant innovation landscape. Rajasthan itself is emerging as a burgeoning hub, with over 7.2K startups registered under the iStart initiative, fostering success stories like CarDekho, Wooden Street, Finova Capital, and Minimalist.
Rigorous Selection and Preparation Process
The TGS100 selection journey is designed for fairness and credibility, involving multiple evaluation phases. Applications, which were open until November 30 via the TGS Portal, undergo initial screening based on pitch decks and traction metrics. This is followed by Regional Evaluations by TiE Members and regional VCs by December 15, 2025. A Global Jury Round, featuring virtual pitching sessions, will conclude by December 20, 2025, to finalize the top 100 startups. The judging panels comprise TiE Charter Members, VCs from India, the US, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, alongside corporate innovation leaders.
Empowering Founders for Growth
Selected TGS100 finalists will participate in a curated 'Founder Preparation Programme' by December 30, 2025. This comprehensive program includes virtual masterclasses on pitching, fundraising strategy, and global market expansion, alongside sector-specific workshops. Crucially, each startup will receive dedicated one-on-one mentorship from TiE Charter Members, investor mentors, and domain experts, ensuring intensive pitch refinement and investor readiness.
A Global Platform for Opportunity
The Summit showcase on January 4, 2026, will offer the top 100 startups unparalleled visibility. They will present their ventures to over 10,000 delegates, including more than 300 investors, corporates, and global partners. This platform facilitates direct investor access through VC roundtables and curated introductions, offering a pathway to secure funding exceeding $1 million. Startups also gain opportunities for strategic partnerships, enterprise-customer connects, and global market expansion, along with the prestigious "TGS 100 Top Startups" badge.
Impact
This event is poised to significantly boost investor confidence in the Indian startup ecosystem, potentially driving substantial capital inflow into early-stage ventures. It also serves to enhance Rajasthan's profile as a vital hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, fostering economic growth and job creation. The focus on global best practices and investor readiness can elevate the standards within the Indian startup landscape.
