IT Sector Dividend Trends
LTM's announcement arrives during a strong period for shareholder payouts across the Indian IT sector. While the ₹53 dividend marks a historical high for LTM itself, other major IT firms have also proposed significant dividends for FY26. Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) declared ₹270 per share, and Mphasis recommended ₹62 per share. Tech Mahindra also highlighted its total FY26 dividend of ₹51 as its highest ever.
LTM's Dividend Payouts and Investor Stakes
The proposed ₹53 final dividend for FY26 is a substantial increase from prior years. In FY25, LTM distributed a ₹45 final dividend and a ₹20 interim dividend. With the ₹22 interim dividend already declared for FY26, the total payout for the fiscal year now reaches ₹75 per share.
Regarding shareholding, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) increased their stake to 6.63% as of March 31, 2026, suggesting growing investor confidence. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) remains the majority shareholder with 68.52%, while the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) holds 9.80%. The company's Annual General Meeting is set for June 1, 2026, with dividend payments anticipated by June 10, 2026.
