Kaltura Corporation, a prominent New York-based AI video platform company traded on Nasdaq, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire eSelf.ai, an Israeli startup specializing in conversational AI avatars, for about $27 million. eSelf.ai is known for its AI-generated digital humans capable of interacting with users, supporting over 30 languages, and featuring a studio for creating and customizing photorealistic avatars.
Founded in 2023 by CEO Alan Bekker and CTO Eylon Shoshan, eSelf.ai brings expertise in speech-to-video generation, low-latency speech recognition, and screen understanding. The co-founders and their team of AI experts will join Kaltura to integrate eSelf.ai's technology across Kaltura's video solutions, which include corporate video portals, webinar tools, virtual event platforms, and learning management system integrations.
