Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the company's robotaxi fleet in Austin, Texas, will approximately double in December. This follows the June rollout of Tesla's self-driving service in the city. The robotaxi service currently operates with safety monitors in Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area. Tesla also recently secured a ride-hailing permit in Arizona. Musk has previously expressed ambitious goals for robotaxi expansion across the US.
