Axiscades Hits 10% Upper Circuit After Institutional Buy

Promoter Jupiter Capital sold a 10.69% stake in Axiscades Technologies for Rs 829.72 crore. Key institutions, including Abakkus Asset Manager and Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, acquired these shares. The development sparked positive market sentiment, driving the stock to a 10% upper circuit.

Axiscades Technologies saw its share price hit the 10 percent upper circuit on September 29, 2026, closing at Rs 2,067.40 on the National Stock Exchange. The rally follows a major shift in the company’s ownership structure, as the promoter entity, Jupiter Capital, reduced its holding by divesting a 10.69 percent stake through open-market transactions.

The block deal, valued at approximately Rs 829.72 crore, saw strong demand from institutional investors. Sunil Singhania-led Abakkus Asset Manager purchased 12.88 lakh shares, equivalent to a 3.03 percent stake, for Rs 235 crore. Simultaneously, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund bought 20.83 lakh shares, securing a 4.89 percent stake for Rs 380 crore. Other participants in the transaction included Vanaja Sundar and the Svadha India Emerging Opportunities Scheme 1. All these shares were purchased at a price of Rs 1,824 per share.

For investors, the entry of reputed institutional funds is often viewed as a sign of confidence in a company’s long-term business model. Axiscades operates in the engineering solutions space, catering to high-growth sectors such as aerospace, defense, and automotive. This institutional interest suggests that professional investors see potential in the company’s position within the engineering research and development sector.

While the stock price reaction reflects market optimism, the primary factors for investors to monitor going forward remain the company's operational performance. Key areas to track include revenue growth, profit margin trends, and the ability of the company to execute its existing order book efficiently. Investors may also look for management commentary regarding this change in the shareholding structure to understand if there are any shifts in the company's long-term strategic direction.
