Ardee Industries IPO: Subscription Open Till Aug 7; Key Facts, Risks

Ardee Industries' ₹425.87 crore IPO is open for subscription from August 5 to August 7, 2026, at a price band of ₹50–₹53. While analysts point to strong financial growth and market positioning, investors should consider risks like high customer concentration and raw material price volatility before making a decision.

Ardee Industries, a Tirupati-based lead recycling company, launched its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on August 5, 2026. The subscription window for the issue remains open until August 7, 2026. The company is looking to raise a total of ₹425.87 crore, consisting of a fresh issue of shares worth ₹320 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹105.87 crore by existing shareholders. The price band for the IPO has been set at ₹50 to ₹53 per equity share, with a minimum lot size of 281 shares.

Geojit Financial Services has issued a 'Subscribe' recommendation for the IPO, highlighting the company’s strategic role in the lead recycling industry and its potential for growth in sectors like automotive and energy storage. The brokerage noted that the company is currently valued at approximately 19.7 times its projected earnings for the fiscal year 2026 at the upper end of the price band, which they consider attractive relative to peers.

The company has demonstrated strong financial performance in recent periods. Revenue increased to ₹1,168.88 crore in fiscal year 2026, up from ₹743.53 crore in the previous year. Profit after tax also saw growth, rising to ₹84.68 crore in fiscal year 2026 compared to ₹33.27 crore in fiscal year 2025. With an installed capacity of 156,950 MTPA, Ardee Industries aims to leverage the increasing demand for recycled lead as global industries shift toward more sustainable, circular economy practices.

However, potential investors should carefully evaluate several business risks. A primary concern is the company’s high customer concentration. A significant portion of Ardee’s revenue comes from a small group of clients, with Amara Raja Energy & Mobility being a major contributor. Any change in demand or business relationship with these key clients could impact the company’s financials. Furthermore, the company is heavily dependent on the battery and automotive sectors, making it sensitive to demand fluctuations in these industries.

Additional risks include volatility in raw material prices, which can impact profit margins, and exposure to foreign currency exchange rate fluctuations. The company has also faced periods of negative cash flow in the past. There are also potential conflicts of interest associated with group company Pilot Industries Limited. Additionally, as a labor-intensive operation, the company faces risks related to utility supply disruptions and operational costs.

Following the close of the subscription window on August 7, the company is expected to finalize the share allotment process. The stock is tentatively scheduled to list on the NSE and BSE on August 12, 2026. Investors may track the final subscription numbers, the grey market premium, and any future updates on order execution or client diversification to better understand the company's long-term prospects.
