Udaan Revenue Hits Rs 5,134 Crore in FY26 Turnaround

Business-to-business e-commerce firm Udaan has returned to growth, reporting FY26 revenue of Rs 5,134 crore. The company also reduced its net losses by 19% to Rs 1,055 crore as it pivots to a cluster-led operational model. This financial improvement comes as the private company works toward a planned public offering.

Udaan, the business-to-business e-commerce platform, has reported a return to growth with operating revenues rising to Rs 5,134 crore in FY26. This performance marks a significant shift for the company, which spent the previous four years navigating a period of revenue volatility and restructuring. The latest financial figures indicate a strategic pivot toward operational efficiency, moving away from broad market penetration to a more focused, high-density approach.

The startup has adopted a cluster-led operating model to improve its financial health. Instead of attempting to cover vast geographical areas, the company is now concentrating resources on specific high-performing cities and product categories. This model aims to reduce overheads and improve logistics efficiency. Furthermore, the company has increased its reliance on private labels, which now make up a larger portion of its staple sales. By focusing on these internal brands, the firm aims to capture a larger share of the customer's wallet while managing its distribution costs.

Alongside this top-line growth, the company has narrowed its net losses by 19% to Rs 1,055 crore. This financial discipline is a central part of the company's roadmap as it prepares for a potential public offering, currently targeted for 2027 or 2028. To support its capital requirements, the firm completed a $160 million recapitalization exercise in July, which included a private credit injection from BlackRock.

In a move to strengthen its distribution capabilities, Udaan agreed to acquire retail distribution firm Lynk Logistics from Swiggy in September 2026. This transaction, valued at approximately Rs 500 crore, is designed to consolidate the company's logistics infrastructure. Successfully integrating Lynk into its existing operations will be a key task for management, as the firm works to demonstrate sustained profitability to potential public market investors.

As a private entity, Udaan’s performance is not tracked on the stock exchanges, meaning there is no share price movement to monitor. The primary risks for the business remain execution hurdles, particularly the challenge of integrating new acquisitions and maintaining margins in the competitive B2B e-commerce sector. The company’s ability to meet its IPO timeline will likely depend on its continued success in scaling this cluster-led model and maintaining the current trend of narrowing losses.
